Soccer Mom

This last week Laura started her usual summer job. Usual for her but rather unusual for others. Her summer job is to find the best action shot that she can of Rigby's best little league soccer teams. She works for the city of Rigby making those little athletes look their best for the camera.

Laura is the mother of two boys that participate in little league soccer and she loves to watch her boys play but now she has more of a reason to go to their games than ever before. She has the dream job of every mother. She gets to watch her kids play with a telephoto lens, capturing the best plays of the game so she can do more than just talk about that amazing goal her son scored last week. She can show how her son scored that goal. This would give bragging rights for any mom.

Laura makes sure that this isn't just a privilege that she has because she is a photographer but she makes sure that any mom that wants these type of photos taken of thier children will have the opportunity to get them.

Laura makes sure that every child has an action photo taken from the field, a team picture with the coach, and an individual picture taken. She even takes special requests from the parents. She takes time to make every child shine so they will be proud of the soccer season they played and wont be afraid to show them to a date in the years to come.

Weddings

Laura takes a lot of time with every wedding. She knows what an important day this is for everyone involved and she makes this very special day shine and last forever. She uses her talent to capture every emotion that could come from this important ceremony. It is a day for romance, fun, family, and friends.

In every wedding she customizes her photos to the bride and groom. She strives to make the pictures match their personalities. She doesn't have any problems taking requests from family members or even doing a family picture at the wedding when all the family is together.

Some of the photos that she specializes in are those classic pictures of the bride and groom in front of a beautiful temple or church where they made those special vows with each other. She seems to be able to capture the love that is expressed between the two in a kiss. Her photos portray how the couple feel about each other. She knows the romance that is felt between the newly weds. She takes a few specialty pictures such as a close up on the hands of the newly weds with their wedding rings. Apart from the romance she also tries to capture the fun pictures of such a joyful day. She will constantly be taking picture in order to find the couple laughing and smiling without having to pose. Laura said, “best pictures are the ones that are not shot in a studio but are the natural moments when the couple are being themselves.” She looks for the details such as the groom opening a door for his bride or friendly teasing between the couple.

Laura also captures the family of the bride and groom. She takes those memories of the two families coming together and puts the moment in a frame to last. She has captured the tears on the father of brides face as his little girl is given to the man of her dreams.

Laura Lyn is an entrepreneur and opened up her own business doing what she loves the most. She is a photographer at heart. Ever since she was little she loved to take pictures and practiced all the time. After high school she acquired a job at Inkleys while attending Ricks college and it was there that she acquired the skills that were needed to be a professional photographer.

Laura has a natural talent for photography. Her pictures can be found at the fair and other photo competitions all over Idaho. Almost always the photos have a blue ribbon attached because of the quality of work that she produces. 

She plays many roles including a mom of three. She has 2 little boys and a cute little girl who she uses frequently to practice her photography. She understands that kids are only kids once and how important it is to capture those memories. Her children's pictures are on every wall in her home and it is from her home that she runs her successful business. Her kitchen is quickly converted into a professional studio where she does every kind of photo. She does bridals, senior pictures, families, and even glamour shots. Laura is not limited to her home. She prefers to use on location. She uses nature as her studio or the backdrops of building in the community to capture the most natural shots. Laura uses this skill to find the perfect shot to make her models look worthy of the title "picture perfect."

Laura also is the primary photographer for AYSO in Rigby Idaho. She takes the pictures of the soccer, football, basketball teams. She is experienced in capturing that perfect goal, touchdown or winning shot. She prides herself on action shots and has even captured the action of rodeo. With such a talent she can capture those cherished memories that will last a life time.

Laura realizes that a wedding is the most important day of most peoples lives. She treats this day as such and makes sure that those memories are never lost.
